Well, we did it again. We took two weeks of Thai massage classes and are once again certified to be Thai masseuses (outside of Thailand). We had the same instructor as last time (four years ago) and he remembered us! He also still used my booklet from four years ago and made photocopies for other students to learn from - I guess my handwriting is still pretty good.
The first week I had to partner with another gal for part of the week but the second week I got to just be with Jefferson. Thank goodness. This time around we also hung out more with our fellow students and made some good friends.

After that we stayed in Thailand for another week and then we headed back to the UK and spent a few days with friends. Then we flew to Berlin to rent a car and drive all the way back to London to pick up our stuff and drive it all right back to Berlin. And now we live in Berlin!
The drive through the Channel Tunnel was pretty interesting - you drive your car onto a train and sit in your car on the train while it zips under the water and boom! You're in the UK (or back in France - we did it both ways). Road trip pictures...
We made sure to be in London for St. Patrick's day for one last hurrah with our UK buddies and per usual I brought my green food dye with me and a bunch of fun accessories. We happen to be the ONLY people celebrating that but who cares, we had a great time!
Now we've been in Berlin for a few weeks and are liking it enough to look into visas to stay for longer. What is the best part of Berlin, you might be wondering? Bakeries? Sausages? No, but good guesses. It's JEFFERSON'S HAIR. He shaved it into a mohawk for a volleyball tournament I played in a few weeks ago and I may never let him shave it off. I love it so. The professional photographer at the tournament obviously liked it too because he's featured in way more pictures than I am and they are all great. Here are some for your viewing pleasure:
One of the only professional pictures taken of me. |
This last weekend we took a roadtrip to Frankfurt to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary at the one and only Chipotle they have in Germany. Typical O'Hansens. It was SO DELICIOUS that I got a second one for the road trip home. We drove what could be the cutest car in the world - obnoxious orange Smart car - which Sarah Wild deemed a death trap, but we made it! Probably wouldn't do it again based on gas mileage but we fit well in the car and it wasn't a bad ride.
We stayed in Nuremberg for the one night of our road trip at a very cute hotel and then walked around the town a bit before heading to visit Jefferson's Tante Paula. We haven't seen her in about nine years so it was a great surprise and a really fun visit. We even video chatted Jefferson's mom in so they could see each other while talking and Paula was so excited to be able to see her. It was great.
Now we're back in Berlin starting to work on Feed Me, Jefferson once again while Jefferson is doing just that - spending most of his time in the kitchen cooking for me. I am quite happy. Quite.
Just a random picture at Stone Brewing (Berlin) that I enjoy. |
